Oracle JInitiator is a legacy Java browser plug-in distributed by Oracle to run Oracle Forms–based applications over the web. It bundled a specific Java Runtime Environment and integrated with Internet Explorer and Netscape on Windows, providing a controlled, consistent platform for Oracle Forms deployments common in the late 1990s and early 2000s (including many Oracle E-Business Suite environments). Administrators typically used it to ensure clients ran the exact Java version required by their Forms apps and to streamline web-based delivery of those applets. JInitiator has long been deprecated and replaced by the standard Sun/Oracle Java Plug-in in later Oracle Forms releases; it is no longer supported and is generally incompatible with modern browsers and security policies.
Oracle JInitiator is developed by Oracle and is used by 14 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.1, 1.3 and 2.0. The names of program executable files are Win7UI.exe, ORAMMC10.exe, ORAINST.EXE, oracle_jinitiator_1.1.8.2_Downloader.exe and oracle_edytor.exe.
